Boisdale has today announced that following an incredibly successful stint on the decks at Boisdale of Mayfair’s Vinyl Bar & Groove Room, onThursday 14th March glamorous entrepreneur Nancy Dell’Olio will be heading to the “capital of east London” Canary Wharf and taking up residency for one night at Boisdale of Canary Wharf‘s first floor Oyster Bar, Grill and Terrace.
Lawyer, author, entrepreneur, TV personality and an accidental British national treasure, the ever inventive, multi-talented Italian DJ Nancy will be spinning classic vinyl from the 80s and 90s including hits by Duran Duran, Culture Club, Roxy Music and more.
Boisdale of Canary Wharf described as “London’s No 1 jazz venue” by Tatler Magazine is well known for its music credentials. The venue, one of the first buildings erected on the Canary Wharf island, used to be a music hall and since its conception as Boisdale and under patronage of Jools Holland it has been presenting the very best in jazz, blues, soul, pop and rock’n’roll in the restaurant and music venue on the second floor.
Meanwhile, in the last three years the first floor Oyster Bar, Grill and Terrace has hosted many a DJ residency including global legends and London’s Notting Hill Carnival stalwart Saxon Sound System; the groundbreaking star of Brixton’s Fridge Aitch B with his Soul Friday series mix of old skool soul, boogie, cutting edge funk, rare groove and a touch of rub a dub reggae; and more recently DJ Musclehead and guests featuring Winter Warmer Saturday Party.
In addition to being a music venue Boisdale of Canary Wharf comprises an award winning restaurant, four private dining rooms, The Oyster Bar, Grill & Terrace, the world’s most extensive whisky bar (over 1000 malts and blends), and a stunning walk in cigar humidor & shop.
The food offering ranges from an excellent value bar menu with a wonderful selection of burgers starting at £9.25 to an a la carte selection celebrating great British ingredients with flair and imagination. The dry aged Buccleuch, 50-day matured steaks are simply amazing.
