Natural History Museum releases new dates to sleepover experience

Keep the whole family entertained this Autumn as London’s Natural History Museum releases new dates for its Dino Snores for Kids special and Dino Snores for Grown ups experience. The one-of-a-kind overnight experience in the heart of the Museum invites the whole family, or just the adults, to sleep alongside an unusual neighbour; a 25-metre blue whale called Hope.

The Museum has added just one exclusive date for each experience, Saturday 5 October for Dino Snores for Kids special and Friday 6 September for Dino Snores for Grown ups.

Dino Snores for Kids special opens up the famed sleepover experience to include teenagers, giving the whole family a chance to explore the iconic museum after it closes to the general public. Children aged 7-17, along with their parents, will have access to exclusive after-hours activities.

Or, for a little extra quiet and a night away from the kids, Dino Snores for Grown ups gives adults the chance to let their inner child out and explore the Museum after it’s closed to the public.

Arriving at the iconic building in South Kensington, guests will set up camp under the famed blue whale skeleton, or VIP (very important palaeontologists) ticket holders will arrive to a ready-made camp bed. Once camping spots are picked, visitors will head out on their first adventure.

Families will find a show filled with fascinating facts about the natural world presented by one of the Museum’s scientists, followed by a tour around the Museum by torchlight and a chance to try their hand at a dinosaur t-shirt workshop, before tucking into a bedtime story and finally bedding down surrounded by the Museum’s celebrated specimens. While the grown up evenings will see guests explore the Museum after dark, tuck into a delicious three-course dinner, enjoy a pub quiz, an incredible science show, stand-up comedy, and a late-night movie marathon.

After sleeping within a whisper of the Museums incredible creatures, visitors will find themselves awoken bright and early, in time to enjoy a hearty cooked breakfast.

Before the world-famous Museum opens for the day, visitors will enjoy an exclusive morning trail around the iconic galleries exploring the natural world.

Both Dino Snore experiences take place from 18.30 finishing at 10.00 the following day.

Tickets to the exclusive events start from £100 per person, £150 per person for VIP ticket, or from £90 for members.

Tickets to Dino Snores for Kids special and Dino Snores for Grown ups, the Natural History Museum’s exclusive overnight events, are on sale now.
