This April, Nespresso is set to stir things up in Covent Garden with The Recipe Remix, a 6-day immersive pop-up offering bold and experimental coffee flavours.
Landing on the Covent Garden Piazza from Tuesday 14th – Sunday 19th April, the free experience invites coffee lovers to remix their routine and explore a world of unexpected flavour – including a Pickled Coffee Cola and The ‘Love It or Hate It’ Latte.
As well as enjoying a delicious free Nespresso serve, visitors will also have the chance to walk away with exciting prizes as they ‘Press to Explore’. A gamified station will give away must-have Nespresso accessories, from Aeroccino milk frothers to on-the-go travel mugs, with some even winning a Vertuo coffee machine – making it the perfect stop for both caffeine lovers and curious shoppers alike.
The Recipe Remix comes as part of Nespresso’s brand new Vertuo World campaign, centred around exploration within daily rituals and highlighting the endless coffee possibilities at your fingertips when you press to explore with Nespresso.
Aiming to show how every coffee can be a new world of possibilities, The Recipe Remix opens at a time when the nation’s coffee habits are evolving. New research from Nespresso reveals that nearly half (47%) of Brits now see their daily coffee as being something that they can get creative with, with over two-thirds (68%) also admitting that they’ve shaken up their coffee routines over the past year in favour of more adventurous choices.
With Londoners leading overall as the UK’s most experimental when it comes to mixing up their drink, the Recipe Remix is a must-visit experience. Visitors will step into a series of Vertuo Worlds, mirroring the globe-trotting scenes from the upcoming campaign, complete with interactive moments, photo opportunities, and a limited-edition menu of quirky and experimental coffees to choose from.
At The Recipe Remix in Covent Garden, Nespresso will be serving up a twist on the internet-breaking combo, already shared and recreated by millions around the world with a Pickled Coffee Cola – a Nespresso Double Espresso Chiaro Vertuo pod brewed over ice and combined with diet cola and pickle brine. Also being served is The ‘Love It or Hate It’ Latte – a Nespresso Melozio Vertuo pod blended with Marmite, and topped with a smooth avocado foam and slice of buttered sourdough toast.
After visiting the activation, consumers can head to the Nespresso Covent Garden Boutique to taste the Salted Affogoilto – an affogato inspired by Italy’s sweltering summers, combining sumptuous vanilla gelato with a Nespresso Altissio Vertuo pod, before being generously sprinkled with flaky sea salt and a luxurious olive oil drizzle.
But that’s not all, more recipes will be rolling out across the UK, with coffee explorers invited to their local Nespresso boutique to enjoy:
● The ‘Love It or Hate It’ Latte – inspired by the eternal debate of Marmite, this drink features a Nespresso Melozio Vertuo pod blended with Marmite, topped with a smooth avocado foam, garnished with a comforting slice of buttered sourdough toast… Breakfast? Sorted!
● Pineapple & Tajin Coffarita – a fiery and tropical coffee inspired by the vibrant heat of South America, this serve is made with a Nespresso Colombia Vertuo pod which delivers a particularly juicy, fruity cup
● Rhubarb and Custard Crumbleccino – an indulgent Nespresso Sweet Vanilla Vertuo pod mixed with custard, topped with a rhubarb and beetroot foam for a nostalgic sweet treat
● Pickled Coffee Cola – a Nespresso Double Espresso Chiaro Vertuo pod brewed over ice and combined with diet cola and pickle brine. A coffee-based twist on the internet-breaking combo, already shared and recreated by millions around the world***
All recipes will be created using the brand-new Vertuo Up machine, allowing visitors to experience Nespresso’s latest coffee machine (on sale now for £179). Designed to uplift your day with effortless precision, the brand new Vertuo Up coffee machine will redefine daily coffee rituals, with a rapid 3-second heat-up time, helpful connectivity through the Nespresso Smart App, and a dedicated button to tap into Coffee Creations mode – the ultimate gateway to a concentrated brew.
