Crisis, the national charity for people experiencing homelessness, will be opening a new shop in the heart of Kilburn this week,
to help raise money and support the charity’s work to end homelessness for good.
The charity’s 13th store in the capital will open to the public on Thursday
13th April and will sell a wide range of carefully curated quality pre-loved items, such as vintage clothes, shoes, books and homeware.
In addition, the new store will also feature sustainable design elements, including furnishing made from recycled materials, an innovative clean air system and LED lighting.
Money raised from items sold in the shop will help fund Crisis’ frontline services, supporting
people experiencing homelessness across the country, including in its three
centres across London in Brent, Shoreditch and Croydon.
Through these centres Crisis offers services which help people experiencing homelessness find and apply for work, move into safe and stable homes, and get ongoing health and wellbeing support.
Crisis is calling on North Londoners to support the new shop and join the fight to end homelessness by shopping or donating any items they no longer need which can be sold to help raise
vital funds. Donations can be dropped off in store during opening hours.
The charity is also asking for people to come and volunteer with them, with flexible opportunities available from as little as four hours a week. For more information, people can contact the shop via email,
or drop in and have a chat with the in-store team.
