UWL will launch a non-credit bearing Continuing Professional Development (CPD) course ‘Aligning IT Operating Models with Digital Maturity – A Practical Framework for CIOs and Digital Leaders’ on 20 April.
The professionally oriented executive programme from UWL’s School of Computing and Engineering (SCE) helps senior technology leaders, managers and aspiring CIOs design modern IT operating models aligned to digital transformation.
This hands-on course introduces practical tools, case studies, and frameworks to help participants assess IT maturity, define strategic drivers, and build a future-ready IT function.
During the programme, participants will apply the Digital Maturity Model to their own organisation, identify key transformation priorities and develop a practical transformation roadmap. They will also design and implement an effective IT Target Operating Model (TOM) that aligns technology with business strategy.
The course will consist of one 3-hour online session per week for eight weeks.
Anastasia Sofroniou, Professor of Mathematics and Engineering and Academic Lead at SCE said about the course:
“This programme reflects our commitment to bridging academic expertise with industry practice, empowering digital leaders to make informed, strategic decisions in an increasingly complex technological landscape.”
Dr Kuldip Sandhu, Course Lecturer and CIO and Digital / IT Transformation consultant said:
“This course provides a practical and structured approach for organisations to assess their digital maturity and implement operating models that enable sustainable transformation and measurable impact.”
