Residents in Hounslow and West London now have access to a new, state-of-the-art vision correction service following the official relaunch of Optegra Eye Clinic West London this week.
This new offering complements the clinic’s existing NHS cataract surgery and means even more local people will now have access to bespoke treatment to reduce or eliminate their dependence on glasses or contact lenses.
The Hounslow-based clinic marked the occasion with a special open evening where guests were invited to tour the new-look facilities, meet the clinical team and learn more about the expanded services now available.
The service was officially launched by Bill Miller, the Manager from Hounslow Heart, Hounslow’s Business Improvement District. He said: “I am very impressed with the facilities here, Optegra invest in the very best, and I have learnt a lot tonight about eye health! It is wonderful to have companies like this in Hounslow town centre, and we are pleased to hear of their success over the past year which has led to an expansion in their services now.”
Optegra has been working in partnership with the NHS in Hounslow since August 2024, providing free cataract surgery for eligible local residents. The service has been helping to reduce NHS cataract waiting lists in the area, ensuring patients can access high-quality treatment closer to home.
Nimesh Jani, Optegra West London Clinic Manager, said: “We are proud to continue supporting the NHS with cataract services while also expanding our offering to include advanced vision correction treatments. Our goal is to provide local residents with greater choice and faster access to high-quality eye care.
“It was wonderful to welcome Mr Miller and members of the local community to celebrate the official opening of our refreshed clinic.”
The clinic is now accepting patients for both NHS cataract treatment (via referral) and private vision correction consultations, including lens replacement, laser eye surgery and implantable contact lenses.
