Nighttime open water swimming this halloween at Canary Wharf

As London’s days get cooler and nights get darker, Canary Wharf has a huge programme of new entertainment, activities and arts to enjoy.

There are plenty of icy activities to get involved in, kicking off with the return of London’s longest running ice rink on 22nd October.

The Wharf will be transformed into a magical wonderland in November with Winter Ice, offering visitors and their little ones the chance to carve their own polar bear out of ice, try their hand at ice graffiti or visit a frozen trail of endangered animals specially carved out of ice.

Those brave enough to take an icy cold dip at Halloween can head to Middle Dock for a special nighttime swim.

Thrill-seekers can explore the unknown with three multi-sensory experiences in the pitch dark by award-winning theatre producer, Darkfield. Audience members are transported to strange new worlds and placed at the centre of evolving narratives, their senses heightened while being mentally transported away from reality.

Funfair fans can put their skills to the test and try out the new fairground-inspired games at Fairgame, where they can enjoy nine games over 75 minutes before refueling with pizza, burgers and candy floss cocktails.

Literature enthusiasts are invited to Crossrail Place Roof Garden to watch a series of free poetry performances by some of the capital’s most talented spoken-word artists for Black History Month. There’s one more performance still to come this Saturday, from Nigerian-British author Sarah Aluko.

With the launch of their new free app, workers, visitors and residents only need to check their phone for the latest on upcoming events, discounts, offers and more. The app also allows users to buy tickets, RVSP and check-in to events.

Scale Matters & State of Play: On until Friday 11th November
Estate-wide
Two new exhibitions have been added to the hundreds of free public artworks already on display. Scale Matters is a 20 piece three-dimensional art exhibition made of monochrome paper by Angela Glajcar, presented around the expansive lobby of One Canada Square. Meanwhile outdoor exhibition State of Play features artwork from a series of talented artists with the aim of reconnecting the public with the characteristics of playfulness, curiosity, and delight.
