O2 Centre is hosting a series of events throughout February and March. From captivating performances to free dance classes and thought-provoking exhibitions, the O2 Centre is the place to be this spring.
From 28th February until 2nd March, the Finchley Road-based shopping centre is welcoming immersive performances of Super Normal Extra Natural. The unique, community-led production, created in collaboration with Camden locals and London Contemporary Dance School students, blurs the lines between reality and performance. During an intimate experience, guests will be invited to wear headphones to connect to the soundtrack and become part of an ever-surprising dance spectacle that redefines the familiar.
Tickets for the performance are £12, with Camden residents eligible for a discounted price of just £5.
Hayley Miranda, Producer of Super Normal Extra Natural, added: “Those visiting the O2 Centre for the performance can expect to experience the shopping centre from a whole new perspective, as dancers and performers enliven the space with a weird and wonderful show. Audiences, dotted around the space, wear headphones for an intimate experience of the goings on in front of them. You may not know who is a performer and who is not, but all will become clear with time…”
On March 2nd, O2 Centre will also come alive with fun dance classes in the mall as part of BBC’s Angela Rippon’s Let’s Dance campaign. Open to all ages and abilities, the free sessions will take place 12:30pm to 3:30pm.
From March 10th until March 22nd, visitors can immerse themselves in Inside Odds On, a powerful thought-provoking installation from the multi award-winning theatre makers Dante or Die. Step into a submerged betting shop and experience Odds On, a solo-player interactive film that plunges guests into a world of online gambling. The eye-opening free experience will be running from 12pm to 8pm each day and aims to shed light on the devastating impact of gambling on individuals and families, sparking important conversations about its consequences.
Ant Foran, Centre Director at O2 Shopping Centre, commented: “The O2 Centre is at the heart of the community, and we’re delighted to offer a program of events that truly reflects this. From thought-provoking exhibitions addressing important social issues to vibrant performances and inclusive dance classes, we’re committed to providing experiences that bring our community together.”
