Having opened their first permanent UK location earlier this month, renowned Parisian caviar institution Petrossian brings a French tradition to London. The famous ‘Galette des Rois’ is available to pre-order exclusively at the new boutique in South Kensington until 6th January.
The Galette des Rois is a traditional French cake to celebrate the Epiphany, the 12th day of Christmas. It can be found in all French bakeries every January. Made of puff pastry filled with frangipane, the Galette des Rois or ‘King’s Cake’ also holds a trinket inside, and the finder is crowned king or queen for the day!
Even better, if you find a golden trinket inside your Petrossian Galette, you can win a 50g tin of Ossetra Tsar Imperial Caviar!
The new SW3 boutique displays Petrossian’s century-old spirit of sophistication and savoir-faire to the full. Knowledgeable staff are on hand to offer advice and expertise to customers to help them discover, understand and choose their caviar, smoked salmon and other fine delicacies. Whether a Tuesday night dinner or a full blown festive event, Petrossian’s team will be on hand to advise customers on any of their shopping occasions.
Petrossian aims to give customers the opportunity to treat themselves whenever they feel like it and experience ‘The Petrossian Moment’, when any occasion can become special.
The deli counter offers the chance to sample products, with smoked salmon sliced in front of the customer, and tarama made on site.
Founded in Paris in 1920 by brothers Melkoum and Mouchegh Petrossian, the company is still fully family-owned today. Petrossian’s boutiques and restaurants have spread from the historic first location on Boulevard de Latour-Maubourg in Paris to New York, Brussels, Las Vegas and West Hollywood, and now – London.
