Pete Tong has today announced his new single Release Me from The Ibiza Classics series will launch on Friday 11th October, featuring vocals from Poppy Baskcomb with co-production from Paul Harris and orchestral arrangement by Jules Buckley.
To celebrate this new release, Pete Tong’s DJ Academy is launching an exclusive competition offering the chance for one skilled student to open with Pete at the acclaimed Ibiza Classics show at London’s O2 arena in December 2024.
DJs and Producer Talent around the world will be tasked with remixing Release Me. The winning remix will be officially released on Ministry of Sound and there is also the opportunity to support Pete Tong himself with a set at the Ibiza Classics show at London’s O2 arena on December 13th.
This competition is not only reserved to the students of Pete Tong’s online DJ Academy, but is opening to one non-academy student who will also receive a scholarship to the academy.
Pete Tong MBE is a multi-arena selling artist whose Ibiza Classics has firmly cemented itself as part of the live music calendar.
Speaking on this collaborative project Pete said: “I’m very proud of what we have achieved with the Pete Tong DJ Academy and I’m a big supporter of emerging talent. This is an incredible opportunity for not only academy students but one lucky individual to showcase their skills for a chance to be the DJ support at London’s O2 arena in December. I look forward to listening to the entries and finding the next DJ pioneer to continue the legacy.”
