Experience South London’s beloved Pexmas as it returns to Brixton Village’s Market Row on 6th August, offering a vibrant guest market within a market from noon till 5pm the first Sunday of the month.
Pexmas, renowned for curating exceptional market experiences in Peckham, Camberwell, and Dulwich, aims to champion small businesses emerging from the heart of South London through this new Sunday shopping series.
Spearheaded by Founder and Director Sarah Taylor since 2010, community is the essence of Pexmas. Sarah has grown the event into one of the largest independent festive markets in London and facilitates markets of small independent makers and creatives year round.
They have a multi-access programme for small businesses at any stage of their journey – from free monthly Trader Chats, regular webinars, workshops, and mixers, to a full six-month mentorship programme in market trading for young businesses.
Brixton Village’s Market Row will come alive on the first Sunday of every month, offering visitors an opportunity to uncover hidden gems among the array of exciting gifts and produce at a market within the market.
Each small indie brand featured at the Sunday Guest Markets is carefully handpicked for its talent, handmade crafts, and to exemplify the creativity flourishing around Brixton. Visitors can look forward to an extensive lineup of retailers, including handmade ceramics from CayNote, womenswear inspired by African and Black heritage from S Y D, and delicious drinks from Market Row Botanical Rum – to mention a few. The markets cater to both emerging independent businesses and more established brands, ensuring a diverse shopping experience with something for everyone.
Shoppers can indulge in the extensive range of food and drink on offer in Market Row, all curated by talented entrepreneurs, and there will also be music from The Handson Family on the decks between 1 – 4pm.

Sunday Guest Markets will be back at Brixton Village on Sunday, 6th August, and will continue throughout 2023, taking place the first Sunday of every month.
