This September, Elephant & Castle’s rich history will be showcased in a photography exhibition of historical images from Elephant & Castle, an area that acted as home for the likes of Charlie Chaplin and Michael Caine. Displaying wonderful images of the long-standing community members and traders that have shaped the area throughout the decades, the exhibition will commence on Thursday 3rd September and open Monday – Sunday 10:00am – 6:00pm based in Elephant & Castle’s Shopping Centre.
This exhibition follows events commemorating the areas fascinating history, with just last week a virtual history tour of the area led by John Whelan, Artistic Director of People’s Company based at Southwark Playhouse.
