Popeyes® UK has announced that it will be bringing another taste of its Louisiana-style fried chicken to South East London, with the launch of its new restaurant in Greenwich Retail Park, at 11am on Friday 9th May 2025.
Marking its 14th opening this year and 79th since landing in the UK, Popeyes® will once again be pulling out all the stops, showcasing its New Orleans hospitality with exciting launch day giveaways for locals.
To celebrate, on launch day the first four people in the queue on foot and the first four customers who pull into the Park & Serve bays will win the ultimate prize – free Chicken Sandwiches for a whole year*. Plus, the first 50 customers will be treated to exclusive Popeyes® UK merchandise and the first 100 customers will bag a free Chicken Sandwich.
Popeyes® has become synonymous with fans queuing around the block to try the legendary Chicken Sandwich. The team is advising hungry customers to get down early to avoid missing out on the opening day’s epic giveaways.
With both dine-in and speedy takeaway options available, fried chicken fans in Greenwich will soon be able to enjoy Popeyes® fan-favourites like the iconic Chicken Sandwich, Hot Wings, Tenders, and Signature Chicken Wraps.
All of Popeyes® chicken is marinated for 12 hours in its signature blend of bold Louisiana seasoning, then hand-breaded and battered to deliver that world-famous ‘shatter-crunch’ chicken.
The new Saucin’ Boneless and Hot Wings range will also be available, featuring bold, New Orleans-inspired flavours: cheesy Garlic Parm, bold BBQ, and spicy Buffalo. Each portion of the Saucin’ range features one of these iconic flavours, over either Popeyes® signature spicy Hot Wings or all-new boneless chicken breast pieces.

The new restaurant will be located at Unit 1 Greenwich Shopping Centre, Bugsbys Way, London, SE7 7SR and brings 59 new jobs to the local area. Plans include 78 seats inside and 28 outside, self-service kiosks and collection points for orders made online via the Popeyes® UK website or official app.
