Popeyes® UK has announced it will be bringing its iconic Louisiana fried chicken to the heart of Central London with the opening of its brand-new restaurant on Tottenham Court Road. The new restaurant will officially open at 11am on Thursday, 2nd April and to celebrate, the first three customers will win free Deluxe Chicken Sandwiches for life.*
Tottenham Court Road marks Popeyes®’ tenth opening of 2026 and the brand will be pulling out all the stops on launch day, showcasing its New Orleans hospitality with exciting launch-day giveaways for locals, tourists, and commuters alike.
To celebrate its opening on one of London’s busiest streets, the brand is offering fans an unmissable launch giveaway. The first three customers in the queue will win the ultimate prize: free Deluxe Chicken Sandwiches for life*. The giveaway follows soaring demand across the capital, with roughly one Chicken Sandwich sold every eight seconds.
Early visitors will also be rewarded on opening day. The first 50 customers will receive exclusive Popeyes® UK merch, and the first 100 in line will enjoy a free Deluxe Chicken Sandwich.
Popeyes® has become known for its round-the-block queues on opening day across the UK, with fans in nearby London Bridge queuing for 24 hours ahead of the launch. To be part of the action on Tottenham Court Road, the team is advising hungry customers to arrive early to avoid missing out.
With dine-in and speedy takeaway options available, fried chicken fans will soon be able to enjoy Popeyes® favourites like the iconic Chicken Sandwich, Hot Wings, Tenders, and Signature Chicken Wraps. All Popeyes® chicken is halal certified and marinated for 12 hours in its signature blend of bold Louisiana seasoning, then hand-breaded and battered to deliver that world-famous ‘Shatter-Crunch’.
Building on its core menu, Popeyes® UK is bringing the taste of New Orleans sunshine to Britain with the launch of its brand-new Honey BBQ range – a limited-time menu packed with sweet, smoky flavour and the brand’s famous shatter crunchin’ chicken.
Leading the lineup is the Honey BBQ Sandwich – a 100% fresh chicken breast coated in Popeyes®’ signature shatter crunch and fully drenched in sweet and smoky Honey BBQ sauce. It’s layered with pepper jack cheese, smoky crispy onions and pickled jalapenos, finished with a drizzle of Ranch and served in a soft brioche bun.

The new restaurant, located at Unit 6, 6-17 Tottenham Court Road, London, W1T 1BG, brings 112 new jobs to the local area. Plans include 72 seats inside, self-service kiosks and collection points for a seamless dining experience.
