Popular Redbridge pub, The George, has reopened following an exciting six-figure investment, creating five new jobs within the local community.
Following a short closure, the pub has now reopened, reaffirming its place as a much-loved fixture in the hearts of Redbridge locals. Reopening in time for the festive season, the pub continues to serve as the go-to destination for a refreshing pint and a satisfying bite to eat in the local area.
To celebrate reopening, the pub will be offering a very special 25% off food in the first week of December (Monday 1st to Sunday 8th) to welcome locals back into the venue and invite guests to see the new features.
A popular destination for football fans and sports enthusiasts, the pub has taken its game to the next level with a major upgrade to its viewing experience. A huge 87-inch HD TV screen has been added, ensuring guests can catch every moment of the action from any spot in the venue.
With four Sky Q boxes that can show Sky Sports, TNT Sports and Premier Sports, guests at The George can choose what game they want to watch and won’t miss a second of the action, as the pub is able to show four different channels at once across their selection of HD TVs.
Furthermore, the investment has led to an increase in capacity of 14, making the pub more spacious than ever. A popular addition will be the new sports area, with the new dartboard set to be popular this December with the Darts’ World Championships just around the corner.
Located near much-loved walking spots, dogs are welcome in the front garden area of the pub, making the venue a favoured spot for guests popping in for a pint with their pooch during the warmer months.
The George also boasts a fine selection of beers, ciders and wine, all at some of the most competitive prices in the area. The pub also has an extensive offering of no and low alcohol drinks, ensuring all guests are accommodated to.

Reopening with a bang, the pub is all set to host a huge reopening night on Friday’s (28th) opening party with a special live local singer performing from 6pm followed by a live band at 9pm, while a magician will be wondering around the pub performing an array of special tricks. Free tasters of the food menu and complimentary prosecco will also be available to all those who pre-book.
The pub also boasts a stacked weekly events schedule with Tuesday afternoon’s Bingo, Thursday’s Karaoke Night and live music every Friday. A special guest DJ brings the party atmosphere on Saturday nights while the popular quiz returns on Sundays.
