The Premier League has today opened a public vote which will help to determine the two legendary former players who will join its Hall of Fame in 2025.

The Hall of Fame recognises and celebrates individuals who have an exceptional record of success and have made a significant contribution to the Premier League since its inception in 1992. It is the highest individual honour awarded by the League.

Fans around the world are invited to make their selections from a shortlist of 15 former players via the Premier League app or at www.premierleague.com/halloffame, with the public vote closing on Monday 15 September.
The results of the fan poll will be presented to the existing 24 Premier League Hall of Fame members – including Sir Alex Ferguson, Thierry Henry and Alan Shearer – who will then cast their votes to decide who is inducted in 2025.

The two new inductees will be announced and celebrated at an exclusive event on
Tuesday 4 November.

The following candidates have been nominated for the shortlist by the Premier League in collaboration with members of the Premier League Awards Panel.

The shortlisted players have graced the pitch across four decades (1990s, 2000s, 2010s and 2020s) while representing 19 clubs and sharing an incredible 44 League titles. Between them, they have made more than 5,000 top-flight appearances and scored 1,098 goals.

Shortlisting takes into account the Premier League career statistics and achievements of players who meet the Hall of Fame selection criteria. Career achievements considered include individual and team honours, and a player’s total Premier League appearances, goals, assists and clean sheets.

To be eligible for this year’s Premier League Hall of Fame, former players must have retired by 1 January 2025. Only their Premier League career is considered in their candidacy, not performances in other competitions during the Premier League era.

Each inductee will receive a personalised medallion, engraved with the year of their induction, and a £10,000 donation will be made by the Premier League to a charity of the player’s choice.
