Stebon Primary School in Tower Hamlets, part of the LETTA trust, is delighted to announce the appointment of a new Headteacher.
Roksana Hussain, who is currently the Headteacher at Britannia Village Primary School in the Docklands, will take up the post at Stebon Primary from September.
Mrs. Hussain is an experienced school leader, having worked in education for 18 years. She started her career in the London Borough of Islington and has since worked in schools across four other boroughs in the capital: Brent, Lewisham, Enfield and Newham.
Mrs. Hussain, whose parents moved to Tower Hamlets from Bangladesh many years ago, is passionate about education and is committed to seeing every child achieve their very best.
She is particularly passionate about making sure that children from disadvantaged backgrounds have every opportunity to succeed.
Mrs. Hussain looks forward to building strong and positive relationships with pupils, families, colleagues and the wider community.
Commenting on her appointment, Mrs. Hussain said: “I am very excited to be taking up the post of Headteacher at Stebon Primary School in September. It will be a privilege to lead a school where children are at the heart of everything we do.
“From my very first visit to Stebon Primary, I was struck by the warmth of the school community. The children’s enthusiasm for learning was wonderful to see and reflects the care, dedication and creativity that staff and families have built together.
“I hope to continue the work of creating a place where pupils feel happy, safe and inspired to learn and where kindness, respect and curiosity are part of everyday life.
“As Headteacher, my aim is simple: to make sure every child receives an excellent education and has the opportunity to achieve their very best, regardless of their background.
“This happens best when schools and families work closely together, and I am really looking forward to building strong relationships with our children, staff, parents and carers.
“It is a privilege to serve such a vibrant and diverse community, including the many families from the Bangladeshi community here in the East End of London.”
