More frontline workers are to join the fight against coronavirus in the capital as London boroughs take action to ensure vulnerable people affected by the pandemic get the care and support they need.
As part of Proud to Care London, a partnership between councils across the capital, London boroughs are recruiting additional workers to provide essential care in their communities to vulnerable and elderly residents to meet the growing need created by the outbreak, in particular for those recovering from coronavirus.
The Proud to Care London recruitment site will link people with crucial jobs in care, while providing an opportunity for people whose employment has been affected by coronavirus to get back into work. Six positions providing important care inside care homes and residents’ own homes are available, including care workers, care managers, social workers, occupational therapists, chefs and cleaners.
Those interested can complete a short application online at www.proudtocareLondon.org.uk, with suitable candidates matched to jobs locally and receiving free online training.
