The University of West London (UWL) awarded Rajesh Sinha, Founder and Chairman of Fulcrum Digital, an Honorary Doctor of Business Administration on Tuesday 2 December 2025, the first of two days of Graduation ceremonies at the Allianz Stadium, Twickenham.
Fulcrum Digital is a globally recognised 100-million-dollar platform and AI engineering services company which serves over 1,000 customers and has delivered 4,500+ projects.
Rajesh said in his acceptance speech that his journey with UWL began almost 15 years ago when he met Vice-Chancellor and President Professor Peter John CBE and Pro Vice-Chancellor (People and Digital) Adrian Ellison to discuss how to deliver a next-generation student experience through digital transformation.
Fulcrum Digital was behind the University’s award-winning Student Portal launched in 2012 and more recently the ‘MyUWL’ student App launched in 2024. There is a section on UWL’s transformation in Rajesh’s book ‘Digital Operating Model: The Future of Business’.
As he introduced the digital entrepreneur to the audience at the ceremony Adrian said:
“It gives me great pleasure to present Rajesh to you for this award in recognition for his impact in the world of business, IT and entrepreneurship internationally, for his philanthropic work and for his long-term association with this University.
“Rajesh lives and breathes the digital future,” he continued. “He serves as an inspiration to students in business, in IT, digital and now AI. He is an advocate for budding entrepreneurs and has pledged his support to UWL’s Westmont Enterprise Hub.”
Rajesh told the audience that in his discussions with Adrian and Peter they provided a profound insight on the essence of successful transformation which was that we must make sure that technology serve us rather than us serving it. He said this will become even more crucial in the new era of AI.
“Technology should amplify human potential, not diminish it. AI must work for humanity, never the other way around,” he said.
“Being welcomed today as an alumnus of UWL is a privilege I will cherish forever. I am committed to contributing to UWL’s journey as it rises to become one of the top universities in the world. Thank you for this honour, and congratulations to all the graduands – may your purpose guide your future.”
