Marble Arch London BID, in partnership with The Portman Estate, has announced the return of its spectacular illuminated crescent moon Ramadan display to Nutford Place.

The Ramadan lights display celebrates the importance of Ramadan for the local community, as thousands gather along Edgware Road each evening to break their fast or come together for Eid al-Fitr.

The bespoke 2.9m light installation is in place for the duration of Ramadan, until Wednesday 18th March 2026, and will be illuminated daily from 6am to 11pm. The dazzling walk-through crescent is adorned with warm white LED lights and elegant gold insets and features the heartfelt message “Ramadan Mubarak”, a symbol of blessing and goodwill.

Marble Arch London BID first brought the Ramadan lights to Edgware Road in 2024 and follows its latest annual Christmas lights display which took place over the festive period. The lights have attracted visitors from across London who come to take photographs, share their appreciation on social media and reflect on the significance of Ramadan.

As a vibrant hub of cafes, shops and restaurants, offering a rich variety of traditional dishes, from Lebanese and Turkish cuisine to Iraqi, Egyptian and Indian fare, Edgware Road is a favourite destination for breaking fast at iftar or celebrating Eid al-Fitr.

To celebrate the return of the Ramadan lights installation, Marble Arch London BID hosted a photocall on 11 February 2026 with local businesses and members of the community.

Kay Buxton, Chief Executive, Marble Arch London BID, comments: “We are delighted to have partnered again with The Portman Estate to bring the Ramadan lights display back to Edgware Road. The continued presence of the installation reinforces the importance of recognising Ramadan in public spaces and celebrates the diversity that makes Edgware Road such a special place for families and friends to meet up to break their fasts.”

Simon Loomes, Strategic Projects Director at The Portman Estate, said: “We feel it’s important to support Edgware Road’s Ramadan lights installation again this season. Ramadan holds real significance for many of the residents, businesses and visitors who contribute to the life of this neighbourhood. This display recognises and celebrates that shared contribution. The lights reflect the cultural heritage and strong community spirit that define the Edgware Road district. Working with Marble Arch London BID, we remain committed to creating places where everyone feels welcome and represented.”
