Red Hill Primary School in Chislehurst is delighted to be celebrating a glowing Ofsted report following an inspection in October.

The primary school, which is part of The Pioneer Academy Trust, has been praised as a “place of kindness” and a “welcoming school” where everyone feels listened to and looks out for each other.

Inspectors also highlighted that the school is “highly committed to building bright futures for all pupils”, recognising that pupils have high aspirations for themselves.

The school’s personal development provision is described as “exemplary”, including visits to the theatre, stately homes and geographical field trips.

Other highlights include:

The school quickly identifies pupils’ needs and staff are well trained in adapting teaching and tailoring learning experiences.
The school has created an environment where pupils can and want to learn.
Adults consistently manage behaviour with care and sensitivity. Learning goes uninterrupted because pupils develop positive learning behaviours.
Staff speak highly of the support and guidance they receive from leaders in the school and academy trust.
Parents are also “extremely positive” about Red Hill Primary School.

Ofsted no longer issue single word judgements however this report mentions that evidence gathered during this ungraded inspection suggests the school’s work may have improved significantly across all areas since the previous inspection (when it was judged ‘Good’ overall). The next inspection will be a graded inspection.

Becci McManus, Head of School, said: “We are all very proud of this report and I want to thank all our staff, pupils and the whole school community for their wonderful support.

“We look forward to continuing to build bright futures for all our pupils.”
