‘The Kellogg’s Reductive Art Exhibition – A Story of Salt and Sugar’, opens on 8th
and 9th of September at the Oxo Gallery to the public. Perfect for art lovers
and families, the show features artworks made entirely out of salt and sugar.

The one-of-a-kind experience is only open for a limited time and will include a variety of sugar and salt sculptures, salt sketches and salt animations all created by an array of well-known artists
including:

Gala Bell –
a multidisciplinary artist who specialises in the alchemy of matter and uses sugar to create contemporary installations inspired by ideas of value, taste and hierarchy.

Michelle Wibowo – a world-renowned sugar artist and cake sculptor who was chosen among 100 contemporary artists
around the world to exhibit a life sized baby cake at Victoria & Albert museum in 2011.

Bashir Sultani
– a multimedia artist who is internationally known for his stunning artworks that are created using stop motion animation with salt and black canvas.

Members of the public will be able to walk through a dedicated salt room which will include a Breakfast Table installation, created by Tim Simpson, featuring a cereal box, cutlery and table all made
entirely out of salt.

Moving through the installation, visitors will be transported from London to Paris via a miniature 3D replica of the Eurostar train. The sculpture includes the iconic engine plus passenger carriages,
all of which will be put into motion using an electric track touring the event space.

The public will get to unleash their inner creativity with the salt Zen Garden – a 1m x 1m salt box housed in the main area of the exhibition providing an opportunity for families to interact and
create their own salt artworks.

Finally, a cinema room featuring a 3 minute film about the ‘making of’ some of the exhibition’s hero pieces including interviews with key artists will give the public a glimpse behind the scenes
of how the exhibition was created.

The experience is free to attend with no booking required, and is open to all ages from 6 years upwards from 10am – 6pm on 8th
to 9th September at the OXO Gallery.
