Glastonbury Festival is the highlight of the UK festival season, welcoming top acts from all over the world and over 200,000 revellers. This year was no different with artists such as Arctic Monkeys, Guns N’ Roses and Elton John gracing the famed Pyramid stage.
With a lot of buzz around music royalty, Elton John’s final UK show ever at the festival, online ticketing platform, Skiddle, has revealed which surprise guest gained the most popularity following their appearance on stage with the Rocket Man.
The event marked the end of the music icon’s Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour and saw the star opting to shine the majority of the spotlight on newer artists, but who was the most popular following the show?

Brandon Flowers takes the top spot with a 9990% increase in Google searches following the star joining Sir Elton on stage. The Killers’ frontman is arguably the most well-known out of the surprise guests and pleased the crowd with a rendition of ‘Tiny Dancer’.
With a huge search growth of 1900% following her appearance on stage, Rina Sawayama was the final surprise guest to be brought on stage and sang ‘Don’t Go Breaking My Heart’ with the 76-year-old.
Jacob Lusk and Stephen Sanchez were among the newer acts to perform with Elton John and their efforts appeared to have paid off with impressive search increases of 1800% and 1328% respectively. This will no doubt help to propel their careers even further as Elton’s performance brought in over 7m viewers on the BBC.
