This December, visit a one-week long designer Pop-Up Crisis shop on Savile Row in Mayfair – selling donated clothing items from a range of celebrity supporters, Savile Row tailors and luxury brands including a generous donation from Watches of Switzerland Group. The pop-up is raising vital funds for Crisis, the national charity for people experiencing homelessness across Great Britain.
This year, supermodel David Gandy will also be curating an exclusive online edit on shopfromcrisis.com, including donations from his own wardrobe as well as items from friends including Jamie Redknapp’s brand Sandbanks, Hackett and Aspinal of London.
Crisis’s celebrity supporters have also donated items for the raffle, while some items will be available to buy straight from the shop. These celebrity supporters include Emma Corrin, Naomie Harris, Louis Partridge, Jamie Redknapp, supermodels Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and David Gandy and Pulp frontman Jarvis Cocker.
Charity fundraiser Pop-Up Crisis has raised over £650,000 since the shop opened its doors on Savile Row in 2018 and this year, it will be hosted by The Pollen Estate in their space on 18-19 Savile Row. The pop-up will be selling a curated selection of designer clothing, past stock and samples from luxury brands, generously donated by Savile Row tailors and many other supporters including; Anderson & Sheppard, Huntsman, Knatchbull, Richard Anderson, Richard James, Scabal, P. Johnson, Watches of Switzerland Group, Mr. Porter, Wales Bronner and Campaign for Wool supporters include; John Smedley, Johnstons of Elgin, Walker Slater, Glencroft, Vispring, Woolroom, Smalls Merino, Abraham Moon, Peregrine, Lochcarron.
Supermodel and entrepreneur, David Gandy said: “It’s a real privilege to be a part of Pop-Up Crisis once again this Christmas. Having supported Crisis for a number of years, I’m delighted to have had the opportunity to curate my own online edit this year with the help of some of my close friends. It means a lot to know that donations from my own wardrobe are going towards such an important cause. Whether you’re looking for the perfect Christmas gift or to treat yourself, your purchase can help make a real difference to people facing homelessness this Christmas.”
The money raised will help Crisis continue its vital work to end homelessness for good, both at Christmas and all year round.
This Christmas, Crisis will once again be supporting around 5,500 people facing homelessness through everyday services, hotels and health and wellbeing programmes. In London, the charity will be opening hotels for people who would otherwise be sleeping rough, as well as day centres to provide additional support to people trapped in insecure living situations. At the services, guests will be provided with companionship and hot meals, alongside access to vital advice and support on housing, employment and benefits to help people take their first steps to a life out of homelessness.
Liz Choonara, Executive Director of Commerce and Enterprise at Crisis, said: “Pop-Up Crisis is such an iconic event in the Crisis calendar and one that we look forward to every year. We’re thrilled to be partnering with the team once again for another week celebrating the iconic craftsmanship and style of Savile Row – with all proceeds going towards our crucial work to end homelessness.
“We’re incredibly grateful to both the Pop-Up Crisis team and The Pollen Estate for their dedication, generosity and enthusiasm. With the support of their fantastic friends and connections in the fashion world, we’re able to deliver a festive shopping experience you won’t find anywhere else that also supports our mission to end homelessness.”
