Santa Claus is coming to London Transport Museum

London Transport Museum is making a list, of fun and festive family activities in the run up to Christmas and throughout the school holidays. These dazzling delights include a cast of historical characters, a fun-filled trail and a month-long residency from Santa himself.

Kids go free at London Transport Museum and adult tickets include free return entry for a whole year.

Meet Santa

Daily from Saturday 23 November to Monday 23 December

Santa will be arriving into the heart of Covent Garden Piazza on Saturday 23 November. Step into a magical winter scene in the Transportorium Garden, where little ones
can climb aboard his magical interactive sleigh, adorned with buttons, bells and lights. Elves will be on hand to help snap the perfect family photo and Santa himself will be ready to take note of those all-important Christmas lists. But don’t be late, he’ll
be flying back to the North Pole for Christmas Eve.

Santa’s SEND Friendly Morning

Sunday 15 December 8:30 – 10:00

Children with
special educational needs, disabled children, and their families, can meet Santa and enjoy the Museum outside of regular hours. Tickets for this festive Family Explorer Morning are free for one adult and accompanying children but
must be booked in advance.**

Transport characters from Christmases past

Term-time weekends 23 November to 20 December | Daily 21 December to 5 January (ex. 24 to 26 December)

It’s not just Santa and the elves who’ll be greeting guests this Christmas. Over term- time weekends and daily across the school holidays, four of the Museum’s most popular
costumed characters will be waiting to share in the festive cheer. Meet a Victorian Lady and
Alf Gaunt a tram passenger, an Auxiliary Fire Service Wartime Volunteer and Sydney the Caribbean Conductor. Each day two characters will be sharing their stories and Christmas connections to the London transport network.

Festive Family Trail

Daily from Saturday 23 November to Monday 5 January
(ex. 24 to 26 December)

Visitors can follow the festive trail across the Museum’s galleries, exploring transport history as they go. From horse drawn trams to Routemaster buses and vintage Tube
carriages to moving projected posters, there’s enough to keep the whole family entertained right through to 2025.
