‘Santa Paws’ and a new Christmas installation brings festive spirit to Connaught Village

‘Santa Paws’, London’s very own husky Claus, attended this year’s Connaught Village Christmas event, on 17 November 2022. Connaught Village, one of the West End’s most instagrammable spots, lights up the Tree of Love, Joy and Hope with a new iconic message ‘All I want for Christmas is..’., which becomes the ideal Instagram moment for the family Christmas card.

Bring the whole family or friends and stand underneath the Tree of of Love, Joy and Hope at the junction of Kendal street and Connaught Street and enter our competition with a chance to win £500, which closes on 15th December. A perfect opportunity for creating a digital Christmas card.

Pupils from the neighbouring Connaught House School Choir kicked off the afternoon of celebrations with an open-air performance of classic Christmas carols to get everyone into the festive spirit. Families and four legged friends visited the ‘Santa Paws’ huskies for a festive photo opportunity. Throughout the afternoon and into the early evening, a series of complimentary crafting workshops took place in the village. Shoppers made sustainable pine cone decorations and Christmas snow globes in recycled glass jars and a Pawtraits illustrator was drawing pictures of four legged friends.

Local independent fashion, homeware, beauty retailers and eateries in Connaught Village offered complimentary drinks and exclusive in-store promotions on the day. Fashion retailers such as Eliza Jane Howell, The Place London, Simon Carter and Kokoro London offered exclusive discounts on the day. Connaught Village is excited to welcome also a new women’s shoe brand, Sprezzatura on 10 Porchester Place, which opened its doors this week. Home & interior brands Circus 25, Connaught Kitchens, Mud Australia, Rosewood Gallery welcomed customers with mulled wine and special offers. Connaught Village foodie places such as Bombay Palace, Casa Malevo, Le Pain Quotidien, The Stablehand offered discounts, while Buchanans Cheesemonger hosted an in-store cheese tasting and London Chocolate a chocolate bar making workshop. Connaught Cellars relocated to 24 Connaught Street and welcomed wine lovers with exclusive offers. Vegan and eco-friendly salon, Lacquered & Stripped were creating Christmas nail art with bottomless prosecco and Fé Hair & Beauty complimentary hair treatment with bookings on the day. Purple Ski had a special offer for ski chalets and summer villas bookings and Cluttons served mulled wine and prosecco.

As the day drew to a close and the Christmas lights started to sparkle, visitors flocked back to the Tree of Love, Joy and Hope to pose under the new Christmas light installation ‘All I want for Christmas is..’ and enjoyed live music.

This year, Connaught Village was proud to support COSMIC in their endeavours by welcoming attendees of the Connaught Village Christmas event to donate where they can this festive season. COSMIC support’s the children’s and neonatal intensive care units at St Mary’s & Queen Charlotte’s Hospital by helping patients and their families, and by enabling their dedicated team of nurses and doctors to treat hundred of babies and children in intensive care.
