Time), and festival co-founder Ksenia Bugrimova (The Wishlist, The Bachelor, The Four) The Closing Film will be Scarlett Johansson’s directorial debut Eleanor the Great, starring Erin Kellyman, who will join the event for a special Q&A and interviews.
The Q&A and event organisation are presented in partnership with Sony Pictures Classics
The session will be moderated by British actress and producer Victoria Emslie, founder of Primetime.
“The film invites us to confront and sit in the messiness of loneliness, both in the present moment and through an intergenerational lens; and challenges the perceived risks of connection by letting ourselves be truly seen and known by others. In an increasingly polarised and unpredictable world, of
the most effective way to remedy and alleviate both the individual and collective fear and scarcity is to come together in community, which is why WWIFF has ripple effects beyond the event itself.”
Emslie said.
As London’s leading festival dedicated to women in film, Festival will present awards in several key categories, including Best Documentary, Best Feature Film, Best Short, Best Performance, and Best Director. The festival’s signature Women of Global Impact Awards will honour outstanding women filmmakers, producers, and artists whose work brings light and meaning during times of conflict and change.
This year, the festival is especially proud to honour female directors and creators whose work stands as a powerful act of expression and resilience.
The red-carpet ceremony will host A-list British actors, filmmakers, and jury members, uniting the creative community in support of female-driven storytelling.
Ksenia Bugrimova added:
“The festival was founded by women who lost their homes, yet continue to build new ones around their hearts, through creativity and compassion. We are deeply grateful that Britain can be a home for women artists facing challenges worldwide, who keep creating, dreaming, and inspiring others.
