Families visiting SEA LIFE London Aquarium can soon experience the attraction in an entirely new way, as SEA LIFE and children’s audio platform Yoto launch the SEA LIFE Discovery Tour, an immersive, story-led audio adventure designed especially for younger guests.
Launching from 1 April, the new experience transforms a traditional aquarium visit into a listen-along journey beneath the waves, combining playful storytelling with fascinating facts about ocean life and conservation.
Designed for in-attraction listening, the 13-chapter tour is played via Yoto Mini audio players, and guides families through the attraction while introducing them to some of its most loved residents from turtles and sharks to seahorses, jellyfish and starfish. The interactive audio guide is guaranteed to spark questions, conversations, and plenty of “did you know?!” moments along the way.
To make it simple for families to jump in and stay on track, the audio tour is supported by clear, child-friendly pixel signposts throughout the attraction, matching the pixel images shown on the Yoto Mini players and ensuring a smooth, engaging journey from start to finish. For SEA LIFE’s international visitors, the tour is also available in four languages, English, German, Spanish and French.
Neil Harris, General Manager of SEA LIFE London Aquarium says: “We’re incredibly excited to be launching the SEA LIFE Discovery Tour into our aquarium in partnership with Yoto. This immersive addition to the experience will help children connect with our ocean and the creatures in our care through storytelling that inspires conversation around conservation. We can’t wait to see families explore the aquarium with the audio tour as their guide.”
The audio tour is priced at £5 per visitor and has been developed to enhance the overall guest experience, encouraging exploration, learning and meaningful family time during a visit. A portion of profits from the tour will benefit SEA LIFE Trust, who are working globally to protect the world’s oceans and marine life.
