East End hotspot, Mama Shelter London, is inviting those in the capital to wear their heart on their sleeve this Valentine’s Day. On 12th of February from 5pm and 8pm, the playful hotel will be hosting free private karaoke sessions whereby Londoners can record themselves belting out a song of their choice to send to that special someone or a dreaded ex.
Those with love on the brain can choose between hundreds or romantic songs to dedicate to their significant other, from Whitney Houston’s classic ‘I will always love you’ to one of the most picked first dance songs, Ed Sheeran’s ‘Perfect’. The karaoke sessions will be the perfect time for guests to pour their heart out on the mic and get romantic without the typical fluffy rose petals and candles, perhaps dropping the L bomb for the first time or asking their partner to move in.
Londoners who are spending their Valentine’s Day alone thanks to a messy break-up, or those that want to send out a message of independence to a past flame can opt for a more brutal rendition of Taylor Swift’s ‘We’re never getting back together’ or Lily Allen’s ultimate two fingers up belter ‘F**k you’ plus many more.
The free Valentine’s karaoke session must be booked in advance, by emailing the ‘love gang’ on [email protected] with the individual’s full name, top three song choices and preferred 10-minute time slot between 5pm and 8pm on 12th of February. Those taking part can bring a pal to record them or Mama will have her camera at the ready to capture the iconic karaoke session to share with their old or current Valentine. Mama’s bestie, (DJ and Quiz Host), Well Well Miguel, will be on hand to provide dutch courage with his vibrant and camp personality.
