Experimental social wellness space Shoreditch &Soul will open its doors to the public on Friday, 9 May, bringing a UK-first: a multi-dimensional space blending wellness, music, plant-based dining, alcohol-free cocktails, performance, and urban living – all under one roof.
Housed in a former Victorian textile warehouse at 110-116 Cheshire Street, E2 6EJ, this vibrant, 35,000 sq ft contemporary space – designed by barrister-turned-interior designer Jasmine Fisher – weaves artisanal craftsmanship and earthy tones into a soulful and poetic experience. Memberships start at £99 per month.
THE SANCTUARY: EAST LONDON’S NEW SAUNA, SOUND AND SOCIAL SPACE
The Sanctuary is a festival-inspired urban wellness playground combining:
The Sensorium
Featuring a 40-person circular sauna, ice baths, mist showers, and bespoke immersive lighting and audio, the Sensorium has been co-designed with the British Sauna Society’s Katie Bracher, who highlighted the national boom in UK sauna culture. UK public sauna sites have more than tripled from 45 in 2023 to 147 in 2025.
Offering Nordic, Aufguss, and Balkan sauna ceremonies, alongside music-led events, life drawing, multi-sensory sound journeys, storytelling, deep listening experiences, hammams, and yoga, the Sensorium will redefine what people do in a sauna. Open to the public as well as members, day prices start at just £20.
London’s first high-end alcohol-free bar
Open daily from 5.30pm-9.30pm, Shoreditch &Soul’s alcohol-free bar is powered by Karmaceuticals, found in some of the UK’s largest and most innovative festivals. Blending functional plant chemistry with cutting-edge craft cocktail techniques, prices start at just £4.
Founded by medical herbalist and drinks veteran Karma Campbell, Karmaceuticals’ drinks are backed by science, with the award-winning vegan and halal-friendly formulas all alcohol-free and sugar-free. Each elixir offers a different and nuanced effect, whether that’s to increase energy, relax, or deepen connection – they are all designed to elevate your alcohol-free experiences without the ‘hang-xiety’.
With 70% of Londoners reporting poor mental health and nearly one in five turning to alcohol or drugs to cope[1], Shoreditch &Soul offers a fresh alternative. As the sober-curious movement grows – 43% of 18-34s are now going alcohol-free[2] – it underscores the need for new community spaces that prioritise wellbeing and offer alcohol-free experiences.
Wellness café by day, supper clubs by night
Following the success of its Hackney space, Palm Greens will bring its love of punchy, nourishing food to Shoreditch &Soul, with dishes designed to feed both mind and body, inspired by its founders’ heritage, travels, and passion for seasonal produce.
Open Monday-Friday from 7.30am-4pm, and from 8.30am-4pm at weekends, expect vibrant smoothies with a selection of boosters on offer. Lunch will see the return of Palm Greens favourites, like the Tostada Bowl packed with whole grains, veg, and big flavours, topped with a tostada. Palm Greens will also play host to regular supper clubs and dinners.
Daily wellness programme and special events
From breathwork and ecstatic dance to live music and banquets, the rich daily events programme at Shoreditch &Soul will help feed people’s hearts, bodies, minds and souls. Partners-in-residence include:
Sanctum and its transformative mindful movement sessions inspired by Amsterdam’s electronic music scene;
Fire + Alchemy, whose offering will include breathwork, sound healing, divination, and sacred circles;
Progressive yoga, movement, and strength training classes from Waking Dreams;
Ambient music, breathwork, meditation, and philosophy with functional fragrances to produce fast-acting changes in mood from ØTHERS.
Fusing tech, food, performance, and art, the cultural programme will also include regular immersive banquets, created by boundary-pushing food artist Caroline Hobkinson, who has designed food experiences for the V&A and the Royal Academy of the Arts.
Latin America comes to Shoreditch
Casa Ágape – the London house for Latin American designers and brands – will host the first three-month pop-up at Shoreditch &Soul’s retail concept store. It will open Wednesday-Sunday from 12 – 7pm.
Reza Merchant, Founder at Shoreditch &Soul, said: “Shoreditch & Soul was created to directly address the pressures so many are facing – offering an inclusive space to recharge and connect. City dwellers need more than gyms or bars – they need spaces that allow them to connect and have fun, whilst feeling truly replenished.
“Nearly 70% of Londoners struggle at some point with their mental health, so something needs to change. We believe the next generation of wellness hubs belongs in urban environments, where they can have a transformational impact on mental and physical health. With a cultural programme designed to bring people together, and innovative use of sauna culture to reset body and mind, Shoreditch &Soul offers a new way for people to meaningfully and mindfully connect.”
Karma Campbell, Founder of Karmaceuticals, said: “We’re here to help people enjoy socialising without the consequences, to shift the narrative around what it means to go out, connect, and feel good. We’re passionate about breaking the taboo around addiction and creating a space where people can explore new ways of drinking, whether they’re sober, sober-curious, or just plain old curious. It’s about inclusion, integrity, and innovation, and proving that alcohol-free doesn’t mean less fun, less flavour, or less freedom.”
Kali Jago, Co-Founder of Palm Greens, said: “We’re beyond excited to be returning to east London with a new bricks-and-mortar home at Shoreditch &Soul – a community that shares our values and vision. It feels like the perfect fit for Palm Greens.”
