Saucony Run Shoreditch is London’s newest half marathon event, after being upgraded from a 10k distance in 2025, and its debut 13.1 mile route has been confirmed.

From Hoxton Market’s creative bustle to the leafy calm of Clissold Park, the new course has been designed to showcase the very best of the area. Runners will weave through the heart of Stoke Newington, pass the cafés and bakeries of Newington Green, and take in the unique village feel of De Beauvoir along the way. Each neighbourhood brings its own atmosphere, ensuring an energising mix of crowds, culture and community support from start to finish.

Over 10,000 runners are expected to take part on 20 September, starting and finishing alongside Shoreditch Park, the same as last year’s 10k. The park will also host the event village, packed with food vendors, music and more.

The route offers a relatively flat course that will entice newer runners starting out and experienced participants who have their sights on a new PB. The total elevation is almost identical to the Hackney Half, which is also organised by Motiv Sports UK.

After setting off from the start line, the route will take runners past and through some of Hackney and Islington’s most iconic areas. Hoxton Market, Clissold Park, Stoke Newington Church Street and Newington Green & De Beauvoir all feature in the brand-new half marathon route.

Newington Green offers a perfect spectator spot, offering the chance for spectators to see runners three times. Other roads along the debut route include Essex Road, St. Pauls Road, Queen’s Drive and Albion Road.

Emily Whitaker, Event Director, said: “We wanted to create a route that feels fast and welcoming. The course takes runners through some of the area’s most iconic neighbourhoods, all while keeping elevation low, perfect for anyone chasing a new PB or stepping up to the half marathon distance for the first time. We can’t wait to see Shoreditch come alive on race day.”

The event is also expected to bring a significant boost to the local area, with thousands of runners and spectators set to pass through some of London’s most vibrant neighbourhoods. Motiv Sports UK is also working closely with community groups and run clubs to ensure the event has a positive and lasting impact beyond the finish line.
