Elysian Residences’ new urban retirement village the Landsby has been unveiled with a grand opening event, with VIP guest Sir Trevor McDonald OBE alongside homeowners, local Councillors, corporate colleagues and 170 other guests.
The Landsby, located on Merrion Avenue in London’s Stanmore, provides a unique combination of beautiful apartments, five-star amenities, services and additional healthcare and support that is available on a totally flexible basis if needed.
At the launch, Sir Trevor McDonald did a talk about the Landsby and unveiled the new Elysian library, curated by Foyles. Sir Trevor highlighted the importance of libraries in today’s modern age and spoke about his inspirational life reviewed in his new autobiography, An Improbable Life, a copy of which is being added to the Elysian library.
Guests were given guided tours of the Landsby’s apartments and an opportunity to taste dishes in the new restaurant Benjamin’s, providing a glimpse into the diverse menu on offer to homeowners.
The Landsby’s event space was transformed to provide guests with an insight into the lifestyle opportunities on offer including container gardening by Flora-tec; information on the fitness programmes available for both the body and brain, including the Postit Science ‘brain gym’, the first of its kind in the UK. Guests also enjoyed wine and whiskey tasting by Majestic Wines, chocolate tasting by Hotel Chocolcat and tea tasting by The Tea Makers of London.
