Returning for its fourth season, The Somerset House Terrace Bar with San Miguel will pop up on the River Terrace at Somerset House for its best summer season yet. Featuring a brand new tapas menu curated by Founder of Tapas Revolution Omar Allibhoy that pairs perfectly with an ice cold beer, San Miguel will also launch a handful of bookable immersive experiences, from live music to interactive workshops to encourage visitors to seek out sunnier days and enjoy the warmer evenings to come.
Elevating the dining experience, Celebrity Spanish Chef Omar Allibhoy’s new menu will provide the ultimate tapas experience. From sharing boards with Iberico Chorizo, Cecina Smoked Beef, Manchego cheese, Pan Con Tomate and more, to an assortment of delicious pinchos. A menu highlight will the traditional cocas, the stone baked flatbreads from the regions of Valencia and Catalonia, which are topped full of Spanish flavours and pair perfectly with an ice cold San Miguel.
Dubbed the ‘Antonio Banderas of cooking’ by Gordon Ramsay, Madrid-born Omar Allibhoy is an author of three cookbooks: Tapas Revolution, Spanish Made Simple and his latest Paella: The Original One-Pan-Dish launching this June. Having gained the title of ‘The Spanish Chef’, Allibhoy has had the regal honour of cooking for Prince William, The Duke of Cambridge, as well as a whole host of celebrity diners.
With its stunning riverside location and view of the iconic London skyline, the Terrace is the perfect spot for those looking for somewhere to while away a summer afternoon or evening, grab an ice cold San Miguel, Especial, Gluten Free, 0,0 or Selecta beer, or the special San Miguel Sundown Spritz cocktail.
In addition to the new menu, which will bring an authentic slice of Spain to the Terrace bar, San Miguel will launch a series of experiences to complement Somerset House’s vibrant summer programme. Taking the San Miguel sundown synergy to a new height, this summer the brand will celebrate the Spanish spirit of adventure and also launch Casa San Miguel, an authentic finca-style villa in Ibiza with a programme that mirrors the live music, talks and more of the Terrace Bar.
On the last Friday of each month, the Somerset House Terrace Bar with San Miguel will welcome live Saxophonist sundowner sets, transporting visitors to a truly Ibizian experience. With internationally recognised musician and performer The SaxMan, Ben Barnett, and his team of artists, the Terrace Bar will come alive to create vibrant golden hours to remember.
Featuring an updated aesthetic for 2023, the newly designed space is inspired by Ibizian interiors, with bright and energetic florals paired alongside soft and warm lighting for a contrasting calming touch.
