Pupils and staff at South Norwood Primary School part of The Pioneer Academy, celebrated Easter in style before they broke up for their Easter break with an all-school Easter-themed Fun Day.
Year 2 children enjoyed an Easter Egg Hunt with a difference with clues leading them to various members of staff around the school who gave them another clue to follow.
Each clue finally led them to Head Teacher Melody Berthoud who rewarded the children with an egg, donated by staff.
Meanwhile, Year 3 enjoyed a trip to Brighton accompanied by Year 3 teacher Miss Howard who was voted for by parents and children as the teacher who should wear a bunny costume for the day along with PE teacher, Coach Mickey
Each child at South Norwood was also entered into a raffle to win a large Easter egg and, as they left school for Easter, they were given an Easter egg as a gift from the PTA to take home.
Melody Berthoud, Head Teacher at South Norwood Primary School, said:
“At South Norwood Primary, we wanted the whole community to have some fun ahead of Easter after a very busy and hard-working term for everyone.
“The children really enjoyed the Easter Egg hunt and all the staff were great sports taking part and getting into the spirit of the day – especially Miss Howard who was wearing her bunny costume for the day while they out and about with Year 3 in Brighton.”
