Asian Supermarket, Starry Mart, is set to open its fifth UK-based store this Saturday, 17th May at Southside Shopping Centre, Wandsworth. The 5,200 sq ft store, set over two floors, will be located on Garrett Lane next to Parthian Climbing.
Starry Mart is a modern, independent retail brand specialising in a diverse range of food and lifestyle products sourced directly from across Asia. It stocks an extensive selection of high-quality food and beverages from China, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam alongside a collection of homewares, personal care items, and lifestyle goods that reflect the rich and diverse cultures of the different regions.
Adding a unique touch, the store will also offer freshly baked pastries and hot buns, bringing the authentic flavours of Asian bakeries to the heart of Wandsworth.
With more than 15 years of experience, Starry Mart has expanded from its well-established online store, known for its curated selection of authentic Asian products, to physical retail locations in Canterbury, Colchester, and Fulham. Their online store continues to serve customers nationwide, delivering a diverse range of Asian groceries and lifestyle products directly to their homes.
To celebrate the store opening, Starry Mart will be hosting an official ribbon cutting at 1pm on 17th May. There will also be tasting events taking place over the opening weekend along with exclusive promotions and giveaways.

The announcement of the arrival of Starry Mart follows the recent completion of Southside’s multi-million-pound refresh which has made significant enhancements to both the interior and exterior of the centre, combining modern aesthetics with community heritage. The works included the remodelling of each of the centre’s entrances as well as the installation of integrated seating, improved lighting and wayfinding inside the centre.
