As part of National Apprenticeship Week, Starbucks UK is committing to providing another 40 apprenticeship places in the coming months.
Apprenticeships at Starbucks span a wide range of roles and levels, including:
· Level 2 entry-level Barista apprenticeships
· Advanced professional qualifications for senior leaders
· A fast-track leadership programme, enabling apprentices to progress to Store Manager roles in as little as 13 months, with more positions opening in 2026.
Starbucks apprenticeship programmes are supporting partners at all stages of their careers, from entry-level roles through to leadership:
Reina Dynora Fernandez Zamora, a Deputy Store Manager in Turnham Green, joined Starbucks after moving to the UK and is developing leadership, people management and problem-solving skills through the Accelerated Leadership Programme. Reina exemplifies the way apprenticeship programmes can be a fast-track route to a long-term career, having only enrolled in 2025, and how the skills learned can apply outside of the professional setting.
Reina Dynora Fernandez Zamora, Deputy Store Manager, said:
“Since joining the programme, I see a completely different version of myself. I didn’t know how to manage a team or make sure everyone felt supported before, but now I feel much more confident. I’d 100% recommend it – it helps you become more open-minded and shows you that every problem has a solution, which you can always find together as a team.”
Anna Nowakowska, a Store Manager at the Brunswick Centre with 17 years’ experience, progressed through multiple hospitality apprenticeships and is now completing a Level 5 Operations Manager programme, an advanced programme designed to support senior leadership development.
Anna Nowakowska, Store Manager, Brunswick Centre, said:
“I encourage anyone considering an apprenticeship to take the leap. Don’t hesitate to take the first step towards personal and professional growth.”
Anna Marston, a Barista in Cardiff, is currently completing a Level 2 Food and Beverage Service apprenticeship and building confidence and customer service skills.
