In London Kings Cross today, Stormzy joined McDonald’s to make sure fans didn’t miss a moment when they showcased England vs. Denmark as part of their ultimate breakfast club. The rapper was there enjoying the match and engaging with Lioness fans alongside friends and Capital FM breakfast host Roman Kemp.
When asked whether he thinks England can win the World Cup, Stormzy said: “I’m backing them all the way. They brought it home during the Euros and they really took their opportunity to shine. The country will go nuts if they win it – we’d have to have one big party to celebrate.”
Stormzy was spotted discussing tactics at half time and reacting to the game with enthusiasm as the Lionesses faced their next group game down under. When asked about the Lionesses’ performance, Stormzy said: “It was fun to watch it alongside the fans. You could really feel the energy and support for the team and you can see they have really have the fire in them. Lauren James was absolutely cooking and it was a top-quality finish for her goal.“
Radio host Roman Kemp was also in attendance for the second half, showing support for the team and entertaining the fans.
