Succession star, Brian Cox, today officially opened the financial market at the London Stock Exchange ahead of the final season of the award-winning series airing from Monday 27th March, exclusively on NOW and Sky Atlantic.
Brian Cox, who plays patriarch Logan Roy in the critically-acclaimed show, officially opened the trading market this morning at 8am with a Market Open ceremony and accompanied by a musical quartet playing the iconic title theme tune from the series.
During the ceremony, Cox was joined by Marina Storti, NOW Managing Director, and Murray Roos, Group Head of Capital Markets at London Stock Exchange Group.
Marina Storti, Managing Director of NOW, commented: “What better way to mark the final season of Succession; a show known for showcasing shrewd business moves, than by bringing Brian Cox right to the heart of the UK’s trading. We have a huge fanbase of the show amongst our members, and like them, I’m eagerly awaiting the familial power struggles and dramas it will bring when it hits NOW and Sky Atlantic from 2am on Monday.”
Succession explores themes of power and family dynamics through the eyes of patriarch Logan Roy (Brian Cox) and his four grown children, Kendall (Jeremy Strong), Siobhan (Sarah Snook), Roman (Kieran Culkin), and Connor (Alan Ruck).
In the final series, the sale of media conglomerate Waystar Royco to tech visionary Lukas Matsson (Alexander Skarsgård) moves ever closer. The prospect of this seismic sale provokes existential angst and familial division among the Roys as they anticipate what their lives will look like once the deal is complete. A power struggle ensues as the family weighs up a future where their cultural and political weight is severely curtailed.
Mega fans of the award-winning show will not miss out on the global excitement with each episode available on NOW at the same time as the US premiere each week at 2am, and on demand thereafter. For fans looking to recap on the previous three seasons, all episodes are available with a NOW Entertainment Membership for £9.99 per month.
Newly announced cast includes Annabeth Gish, Adam Godley, Eili Harboe, and Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson. Newly announced returning cast include Harriet Walter (Lady Caroline Collingwood), James Cromwell (Ewan Roy), Natalie Gold (Rava Roy), Caitlin Fitzgerald (Tabitha), Ashley Zukerman (Nate Sofrelli), Larry Pine (Sandy Furness), Mark-Linn Baker (Maxim Pierce), and Pip Torrens (Peter Munion).
The series is created by Jesse Armstrong; executive produced by Jesse Armstrong, Adam McKay, Frank Rich, Kevin Messick, Jane Tranter, Mark Mylod, Tony Roche, Scott Ferguson, Jon Brown, Lucy Prebble, Will Tracy and Will Ferrell. Jesse Armstrong serves as showrunner.
Succession is available from 27 March on streaming service NOW and Sky Atlantic. Seasons 1, 2 and 3 are available to catch up on NOW and Sky On Demand.
