Summer Served Cold in Covent Garden

0

As a summer’s heatwave hits London, Covent Garden becomes the capital’s go-to destination for staying ultimately cool. Across the Piazza, surrounding streets and Seven Dials, enjoy a curated line-up of over 50 frozen cocktails and mocktails, gelatos, iced matcha and coffees, soft serves and seasonal shakes, or step foot in The Roseblood Terrace or the Covent Garden Summer House, the sun-drenched floral oasis pop-ups in the heart of the city, where indulgence is served ice-cold.

Frozen, Not Stirred
Nestled in the grounds of Covent Garden’s Floral Court, The Roseblood Terrace brings new life to one of the neighbourhoods beloved courtyards that connects Floral Street and King Street. Visitors are invited to cool down with a crisp glass of rosé from a curated menu of premium rosé wines, perfect for a sunlit afternoon with friends.

The Summer House pop-up on the East Piazza is serving Covent Garden’s coolest cocktails and frozen desserts. Sip on frozen margaritas and passionfruit martinis, cool off with handcrafted mango, lemon and passionfruit sorbets, or indulge in a frozen chocolate-dipped cheesecake. For a personalised twist, the on-site Living Herb Bar offers a DIY cocktail experience, simply pick your own mint, lavender, lemon balm and more to elevate your glass.

Just across the Piazza, the SUSHISAMBA x Veuve Clicquot pop-up terrace is the best sun-soaked spot to savour champagne sorbets, including Yuzu with Yellow Label and Strawberry with Brut Rosé, alongside cocktails like the Solaris and Pandan Spritz. Whilst over on Henrietta Street, the HENRI terrace has been transformed into a Venetian paradise just in time for longer days. Enjoy delicious cocktails made with SELECT, the original aperitivo born in Venice.

Mrs Riot brings a playful energy to terrace drinking with a frozen yuzu margarita and a fruity frozen rum punch, whilst Din Tai Fung, RedFarm, Story Cellar, The Ivy Market Grill and others have added limited edition cooling cocktails and mocktails to their Summer menus.

For those cooling off after hours, Stereo offers a trio of late-night summer serves. The Smooth Operator is light and laid-back with a tropical edge, while Face the Music brings a deeper, duskier profile with mellow fruit and a touch of spice. For something alcohol-free, the Running Man is crisp, citrusy and botanical — a no-ABV option that still keeps tempo with the night.
