Ahead of England’s crucial Euros quarter-final clash with Switzerland this Saturday, leading bookmaker Coral is showing their support for the Three Lions with a unique name change of their betting shop close to Wembley Stadium.
Former England international, Glen Johnson, was among those in attendance to see the company rebrand the shop front, in Bridge Road, Wembley Park, to ‘Sweet Coral-ine’ in honour of the England fans’ favourite anthem, and will keep it there until Gareth Southgate’s side’s journey in Germany comes to an end, hopefully with victory in the final on Sunday July 14th.
“Although England have made it to the quarter-finals of this summer’s Euros, their performances haven’t exactly got England fans dreaming of the ultimate triumph in Berlin next weekend. However, we were keen to show our support for the Three Lions, even though if they do end 58 years of hurt and win this tournament, it will cost us a small fortune,” said Coral’s David Stevens.
“This betting shop is close to Wembley Stadium, so what better place to get behind Harry Kane and co with our unique Sweet Coral-ine tribute, in honour of the England fans’ favourite anthem?” added Stevens.
“We’ll also be giving the first 100 customers who come to the shop on Saturday a free £5 bet on the big match, hopefully people will be backing England to beat the Swiss although we’ll leave that up to them!” concluded Stevens.
