The Cheshire Cheese, a cosy, hidden gem on Little Essex Street, London is now open and just in time for Christmas and New Year.
The independent owners – Blighty Pub Company – are a team passionate about restoring this charming iconic venue. Their plans are already underway to create a popular, thriving place for residents and businesses who are looking for local hospitality with a quality choice of drinks, fine dining, and superb entertainment.
Split over three levels with winding staircases connecting each of them, the first floor has a stained-glass saloon door which leads into a traditional timeless pub bar with modern charm.
As well as being open for a drink or catch-up, a new members-only club (limited numbers) is launching. Members will enjoy a range of discounts, private events as well as exclusive and priority access. This includes regular events such as monthly ‘Cellar Club’ nights.
A taster of a ‘Cellar Club’ night is happening on Wednesday 7 December, 6pm-7.30pm. Anyone who enjoys hearing the history and tasting exquisite wines is welcome. The event will take place downstairs in the beautiful private cellar area which boasts original features, comfy seating, and a fully stocked bar.
Tickets are limited and available on a first come, first served basis (booking required). Make a booking through Ticket Leap at https://cheshirecheese.ticketleap.com/cellarclub/ or by contacting The Cheshire Cheese on [email protected]
Jason Bird, The Cheshire Cheese owner, said: “We are delighted that The Cheshire Cheese is back open for business. It is the most magical time of the year, and the cosiness of the pub is the perfect place to relax and step away from the busy city and into the Christmas spirit.
“As well as enabling people to enjoy a traditional taste of a London pub we also want to offer an exclusive and extraordinary experience so the members-only events are set to do this.”
On the top floor will be a restaurant, run by Chef Robbie Lorraine, known as ‘Only Food and Courses’ opening on 8 December.
