Back by popular demand, The Classic Car Boot Sale will be returning to King’s Cross on 23-24 April 2022. To celebrate Earth Day weekend, this year the event will include a repair shop to tailor or fix up your most loved vintage items, as well as a stunning collection of classic cars updated with modern electric engines.
Alongside this there’ll be everything visitors have come to expect from The Classic Car Boot Sale – incredible vintage fashion, a dazzling display of classic vehicles, scooters, motorbikes and custom bicycles, live ride-ins from mods and rockers and vinyl DJs throughout the day.
Join us in Granary Square and Coal Drops Yard from 10am to 6pm each day as we celebrate all things pre-loved and upcycled at this highly anticipated mini festival for a fiver – join us to shop amongst the best dressed vintage crew in town
The jam-packed spring weekend brings together exceptional second-hand fashion, amazing classic cars, retro homewares, prints and collectables, plus enough street food, cocktails and craft beer to keep the party going all day long.
To coincide with Saturday’s ‘Record Store Day‘, this spring visitors can hunt out rare editions and bargain classics from a curated selection of vinyl sellers as well as music and film memorabilia. Over in Coal Drops Yard, Honest Jon’s Records will be celebrating the joys of vinyl offering hot off the press, limited edition releases throughout the day.
The soundtrack to the weekend will be provided by an eclectic line-up of DJs spinning vinyl from the top deck of our resident Routemaster Bus, taking us on a musical journey
from the roaring ‘20s to the ’80s golden era, across funk, soul, rock’n’roll and disco. The line-up includes Ramrock Hi-Fi presents Jo Wallace & Ashley Beedle selecting dance crashing classics, the ever popular Wag Club supremo Chris Sullivan, The Classic Car Boot Sale legend Owen Thompson and soul, funk and disco from Totally Wired’s Noble and Heath.
Curated by design studio HemingwayDesign, The Classic Car Boot Sale shakes up the traditional car boot sale, bringing a weekend festival of wow-factor classic cars, vans, scooters and motorbikes and over 100 market stalls, making it London’s coolest spot for all things vintage.
Perfect for fashionistas through the decades, from thrifty Depoppers to catwalk obsessives, the weekend puts sustainable shopping at its heart, offering a hand-picked selection of pre-loved and reworked pieces, as well as upcycled fashion, jewellery and textiles. Coal Drops Yard’s very own Boutique by Shelter will also have a treasure trove of pre-loved items ready to be snapped up. There will also be market stalls from Cancer Research UK, All Aboard Shops and Fara Enterprises situated next to the repair shop area.
As well as seeing a stunning classic car on every turn, there will be a unique line-up of vintage ambulances, fire trucks, Royal Mail vans and police cars and look out for Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Arts Club Van. Hang out in Granary Square to catch a retro ride-in from the mods and rockers and you’ll often even spot a famous face or two!
The Classic Car Boot Sale will be held in Granary Square and Coal Drops Yard, King’s Cross.
