Last night, The Crystal Maze Experience marked its 10th anniversary with a spectacular celebration in London, bringing fans together for an unforgettable evening inside the iconic maze.
The immersive attraction, based on the legendary 90s TV show, welcomed a host of guests to toast to a decade of adventure, in an evening filled with nostalgia, games, and crazy surprises.
Among those in attendance were The Traitors stars Ellie and Ross, along with Drag Race UK winner Kyran Thrax and Married at First Sight’s April Holmes, and leading creators and social personalities. And in a night filled with 90s nostalgia, secret special guest Mr Blobby was on hand to delight attendees!
Plus, the 90s and 00s soundtrack on the night was provided by Ashley “Twist” Glazebrook, one half of legendary Britain’s Got Talent The Champions winners, Twist and Pulse.
The out-of-this-world celebrations continued throughout the venue with a series of interactive experiences, including a karaoke room in the heart of the maze, nail art stations, face paint and jungle performers. Plus, the surprise of the evening came in the form of a stunning drag king dressed as none other than Richard O’Brien himself, jumping out of a cake to astonish guests.
Guests were also invited into the maze itself to sample the legendary Aztec Zone, complete with event-exclusive Teremana Tequila bar, plus the brand-new Ocean Zone, putting their mental and physical skills to the test in games that have thrilled one million guests for the last ten years. And the iconic Crystal Dome itself was active for guests to experience the thrill of catching prizes.
Speaking about this momentous anniversary, Tom Lionetti-Maguire, CEO of Little Lion Entertainment, which created The Crystal Maze Experience, said: “Celebrating ten years is an incredible milestone for us. The Crystal Maze Experience is the world’s longest-running continuous immersive experience, and was built to capture the spirit, energy and adventure of the original show, and seeing so many fans and friends of the maze come together to celebrate was truly special. After a decade on the block, we’re still delivering an incredible, unique experience that guests love.”
Since opening its London doors in 2016, The Crystal Maze Experience has welcomed a million adventurers, becoming one of the capital’s most unique and beloved immersive attractions. A decade in, the attraction continues to evolve, with the much-requested Ocean Zone opening earlier this year, and games always changing.
