THE DAY THE PONIES CAME TO CHESTNUT GARDENS

Chestnut Gardens care home, in Purley, was full of pony excitement as the Kingswood Shetland Ponies came to visit as part of the December Christmas activities.

The first stop in the home was to visit all the residents who were eagerly waiting in the Bistro area and what joy did they bring. But hey they did not stop there; they were so well trained that they popped into the lifts and visited each and every floor so everyone could enjoy the pony experience.

General Manager of Chestnut Gardens Care Home said: “Our residents have really enjoyed their unusual visitors today. It was such a memorable and magical experience not only for the residents but for the many guests and staff at the home. We cannot wait to welcome the Shetland Ponies back again in 2026.
