The London Cabaret Club will host an exclusive Argentine pop-up for the month of December, with Casa Malevo taking residence.

Casa Malevo, a rustic Argentinian restaurant and steakhouse in Mayfair is known for its fusion of techniques, products, and flavours to create a menu of traditional Argentine dishes.

The exclusive pop-up will open at the London Cabaret Club on Thursday 10th December, offering an expert menu curated by owner Alberto Abbate, alongside a wine pairing carefully crafted by Head Sommelier, Alejandra Morán.

The collaborative menu will embody the passion of Argentine food, focusing on sharing and dishes off the asado, an Argentinian barbecue, all to be enjoyed in the beautiful setting of the London Cabaret Club with its sophisticated art deco interiors.

To start, guests will be welcomed with empanadas, before being seated and enjoying the main course of premium steaks, alongside expert wines.

Comprising two options, guests can choose from Food for Two or Food and Wine for Two.

Food For Two will start with empanadas (two per person, four in total), choosing between chicken, beef, aubergine, spinach, ham & cheese and butternut squash.

The main course will be centred around the Argentine Asado, serving a wooden board with three premium 150gr cuts of beef, Sirloin Steak, Ribeye Steak and Fillet steak, all to be accompanied by sides of hand cut triple cooked chips, broccoli with chili garlic and slow-braised red cabbage.

Finishing on a sweet note, a platter with three Argentine desserts samples, alfajor (melt-in-the-mouth shortbread-like cookies) with dulce de leche, chocolate fondant and Argentine flan.

Food and Wine for Two consists of the same courses, all served with Alejandra Morán’s expert wine pairings, with empanadas accompanied by white wine pairing, 375ml Carafe Filus Torrontés, steak board by red wine pairing, 375ml Carafe Famiglia Bianchi Organic Malbec and for dessert, dessert wine, with two 100ml glasses of Malamado Malbec.

Filus Torrontés is a light, fresh, easy to drink wine, a white varietal, typical from Argentina. This particular Torrontés, comes from Salta, the highest commercial vineyard in the world, with its aromatic, fresh citrus notes highlighting the spiciness of the empanadas.

Famiglia Bianchi Organic Malbec is the perfect accompaniment to Argentine steak, complimenting flavours, not overwhelming them, with round tannins, notes of blueberries, prunes and vanilla and tobacco, coming from its aging in oak.

Finally for dessert, the Argentine dessert wine of Malamado Malbec, a fortified Port style wine made with

Malbec grapes, silky, with notes of dry fruit and quince, all to highlight the sweetness of the ‘dulce de leche’.

The pop up will take up residency at the London Cabaret Club from Thursday 10th December for four weeks. To book your table, please visit, https://www.opentable.co.uk/r/the-london-cabaret-club-london
