Celebrated for its unexpected take on the traditional art fair experience, The Other Art Fair presented by Saatchi Art returns to The Truman Brewery this March, offering switched-on Londoners the chance to buy artwork directly from over 150 incredible emerging talents.
The Fair continues its mission to reframe art, and how it is enjoyed; offering a fair that is inclusive, evocative, and inspiring, with a vibrant programme of exciting features, guest exhibitions, immersive installations, live poetry readings and DJs.
In celebration of March’s International Women’s Day, the Fair is proud to present an impressive 61% female line-up, championing some of the most exciting emerging female talents working today, continuing its ongoing mission to strive for gender parity in the art world. 64% are UK based artists and 11% BIPOC creators. 48% of the artist line-up are London based.
The program will also feature a bespoke installation by the gender-defying, sustainability-led, streetwear brand TOMME. With a global fanbase including Billie Eilish, TOMME strives to empower its buyers by transforming the male-dominated stereotyping of sportswear, creating basketball bags that confidently express a unisex aesthetic. These one-of-a-kind repurposed basketball bags will be available to purchase alongside the installation.
Female tattoo artist Ally Ink specialises in an elegant and expressive fine line style of tattooing. Dedicating her work to an innate and eclectic love of music, Ally strives to bridge the worlds of tattoo art and music through her project ‘From Song to Skin’. Appointments will be available throughout the weekend.
The Fair’s charity partner Karmabank presents Refugee Art Works (RAW) a new multinational collective of female refugee artists & craft makers, drawn together for mutual support & creative development. They will exhibit artworks created by female refugee artists from Ukraine, Afghanistan, Iran, Syria, and Saudi Arabia. Through RAW, Karmabank provides micro grants to help displaced artists fleeing war and other abuses re-establish themselves.
