The Umbrella Workshop, the experimental bar from the group behind The Sun Tavern and Discount Suit Company, will be running an exclusive menu of guest cocktails from some of Europe’s hottest bars throughout London Cocktail Week – Drinking Buddies. If you don’t have the time to take in all of London Cocktail Week, you can pretty much do it in one night here.
From 9th October to 19th October, visitors can order the likes of the Moscow Mule from Barcelona’s FOCO – GREY GOOSE VODKA, cold press ginger, kaffir lime leaf, black pepper, oat Peanut Butter and Jelly Old Fashioned from Berlin’s top 50 bar, Wax On – Peanut Butter infused DEWAR’S 12YR WHISKY, Bourbon whisky, strawberry syrup, PX sherry, Raspberry Marg from London’s award winning Three Sheets – PATRON TEQUILA, Pur Azur Rosé, Raspberry Leaf Vodka, Guajillo & Mulago Vodka, Raspberry Eau De Vie, and Wigan Casino from The Umbrella Workshop -BOMBAY SAPPHIRE GIN, Sauternes, Passionfruit, Rambutan Kombu, Green Chartreuse
All cocktails are priced at £12 (£9 with a London Cocktail Week wristband).
Located on a cobbled lane just off Boundary Street (Shoreditch) and housed in a 19th century atelier’s workshop, the 12-seat Umbrella Workshop includes a custom bar made from 500 year old reclaimed wood, set against an impressive, floor to ceiling display of spirits – including locally made and independent brands as well as bartender favourites and rare whiskies. Visitors are treated to a daily changing menu that acts as an incubator for their drinks development, with the most popular cocktails then appearing on the menus of Discount Suit Company and The Sun Tavern.
