After a momentous Women’s Euro this summer, what better way to end the year on a high than with the FIFA World Cup 2022. The 22nd edition of the competition will be played in Qatar from 20 November to 18 December, making it a great early Christmas for football fans.
For those not travelling to the Middle East and looking for the next best place to catch all the action, BOXPARK will be screening all World Cup games across the tournament at its three London venues in Shoreditch, Croydon and Wembley. Football screenings at BOXPARK have become notorious for surprise celebrity appearances including Stormzy, Atomic Kitten, Top Loader, S Club Party, Rio Ferdinand, Danny Dyer, Barry from Eastenders, Lady Leshurr, and more.
At the 1,200 capacity Wembley and Croydon venues, fans can watch the games on its large 20 ft screen in the main space or three smaller screens on the first floors, heated outdoor terraces and BeatBox bars. BOXPARK Shoreditch will also be transformed into the ultimate watch party for up to 700 fans with multiple screens positioned around the venue.
BOXPARK became the spiritual home of live football screenings at 2018’s World Cup thanks to some epic scenes that went viral across the globe and the atmosphere is arguably better than the stadiums themselves (according to Grealish). For this Winter World Cup, BOXPARK is back with live screenings, unmissable entertainment featuring DJs, presenters, and special guests, along with a few surprises along the way in true BOXPARK style.
Tickets for the World Cup screenings at BOXPARK (opening ceremony and group games) go on sale at 12pm on Thursday 20th October. One important point; priority access will be given to Black Card holders, so punters are encouraged to sign-up to the BOXPARK Black Card before the deadline day of Tuesday 18th October at 12pm for a chance to guarantee access to the exclusive pre-sale window.
Unlike the EURO 2022 under Covid-19 restrictions, BOXPARK’s World Cup screenings will be a standing event with extremely limited VIP tables up for grabs. For England games, a single standing ticket including a food voucher is great value at £20, and prices for non-England matches vary from £5 to £10. If you want to bag a VIP table, these cost up to £250 for England games, which gets you food vouchers and jugs for a group of six people.
England are in Group B, with their initial matches scheduled as follows (UK time):
· 21 November, 1pm: England vs. Iran
· 25 November, 7pm: England vs. USA
· 29 November, 7pm: Wales vs. England
As well as England matches, BOXPARK will be pulling out the stops to create epic atmospheres for fans of other teams.
With screening tickets including food vouchers, alongside enjoying the magic of the competition, fans can tuck into a range of global street food cuisine to get immersed in the games with dishes inspired from Brazil, Mexico, Italy, Argentina, Japan, and more. Meals can be washed down with refreshing beers from Carling and spirits from Chivas, naturally.
Tickets are required for all screenings. Visit www.boxpark.co.uk/worldcup2022 for more information.
