As social life returns in cities around the world, Time Out today announces that the Love Local Awards are back for 2021. Celebrating the places that locals love the most – whether that’s a hidden coffee shop, a fantastic indie cinema, a buzzing food spot or a thriving community theatre – this big celebration of small businesses will honour the most loved venues in cities around the world, as voted for by locals.
Launching in 14 cities simultaneously this year, the Love Local Awards are part of Time Out’s commitment to inspire connection and joy by capturing the soul of the world’s greatest cities. The Awards offer local, independent businesses a platform to give them the recognition they deserve.
The Love Local Awards nomination phase is open from 26 October until 5 November, when long lists will be created in each city. Voting will kick off from 11 November until 17 December, and winners will be announced in the New Year. Local businesses are encouraged to download social media promotional assets that are available on the Love Local Awards page to inspire their customers to nominate them and to vote. Following a tough 18 months, Time Out is also offering the most-loved spots – the Time Out Love Local Award Winners of 2021 – a valuable free marketing and advertising package to help them thrive.

Time Out Love Local Awards will be taking place in London, Edinburgh, Manchester, Paris, Barcelona (CAT and ES), Madrid, Lisbon and Porto in Europe, and New York, Chicago, LA, Montreal (FR and ENG), Miami and Boston in North America.
