ROYAL Biographer Tom Bower has accused the Duchess of Sussex of waging a “campaign of terrorism against the Royal Family”.

Speaking on GB News, Bower said: “The nub of this book is the price of betrayal. When I finished my last book on them, called Revenge, they were about to become really famous and very rich; the Netflix series, the Oprah Winfrey interview, Harry’s book, an amazing bestseller, all the rest of it.

“And after that was the slow decline as Hollywood and America and the rest of the world became somewhat tired of their grievances and became rather sceptical.

“And the worst of all that happened, of course, to Meghan, was that she wanted to invent herself as a domestic goddess, and her two Netflix series just crashed and the sale of flower sprinkles and wines and jams and that did not take off.

“So now the book really is about their bid over the last five years to stay on top, whether it’s in royal tours in Colombia and Nigeria, whether it’s about the making of the Netflix series, the rest.

“At the moment they’ve got to the point that they’re desperate. They’re desperate for money because their source of income, Netflix, the book describes, cut them off. And they’re desperate because they need royal validation or revalidation. And for that, they need to come back to Britain.

“Well, that’s the problem. They are trading on [the Royal franchise] and have traded on it aggressively. And that, of course, has been outrageous and hugely damaging to the reputation of the Royal Family and of Britain.

“And of course, now Meghan’s on her way to Australia to charge £1,700 for a health farm. And the problem is that not only are they using the royals but as I show in her private conversations, she is dishing the Royals as racist and other things to really important people.

“So her campaign of terrorism against the Royal Family continues.

“[Attacks against the King] are not well received, but they still happen. And I think when I’ve tried and researched in America, in Africa and in South America, it has, unfortunately, an effect.

“But the real thing is that they want to come back, they want to stand next to King Charles at the Birmingham Invictus Games, and that is a real problem for the Royal Family.

“And more than that, they’ve got a huge problem. I mean, they’ve got the whole security problem, which is not going to be resolved, in my view, in their favour. And of course, where they’re bringing the Invictus Games, which was deliberately plotted by Harry to be in Birmingham so he could cajole his father into it, he’s got his major problem of the competitors.

“Young people in the immigrant community, certainly, they think that the allegations of racism are true, and some people still feel sorry for him. Meghan, much less, of course.

“I think the whole plan was that they come back together in July. I think that is now in serious danger, because of my book and because of other things. And so my fear is they become desperate.”
